For my final project, I had to create a two-page magazine spread layout with a story, photos, a map, sidebars, headlines, decks, pull-out quotes and photo captions. The person I interviewed and wrote this story about was on an African-Caribbean professor at Columbia named Cadence Wynter. I incorporated personal photos from her life growing up, a map of where she was born, which was Jamaica, a sidebar about fun facts regarding Jamaica and things most people don't know, information about her life growing up in England and attending Manchester University and how she came to Chicago and Columbia. I feel like I was able to incorporate everything I've learned throughout the semester and in class to put it to good use for this last project. I'm proud of it!
