For my Informational Graphics Project, I wanted to portray five favorite old school Nickelodeon cartoons. I wanted to keep everything extremely organized and clean but still have it be attention-grabbing and have the numbers, titles, fonts, colors, shapes and pictures resemble cartoon lettering and almost look like a cartoon. Keeping everything big, bold and colorful is attractive to the eye, and I thought it would be a nice touch to have the borders in orange to have a connection to Nickelodeon's signature orange logo.

Replication and Emulation At Its Best
For my Composition Project, I had to copy a print layout with InDesign and make it as close as possible to the original as I could. This assignment created some challenges for me, including replicating the exact text and typefaces, finding similar food pictures and emulating the exact layout's design. I think it turned out pretty nicely! What do you guys think?

Warm and Cool Sensational Creations
For my Warm Colors Project, I wanted the colors to give off a hot, summery feel because we all know winters in Chicago are the worst! I wanted whoever was viewing it to feel as if they were on fire and feel the heat and fire. I wanted them to think of summer and warm weather and even see some of the fiestiness from my personality because we all know fiery colors go hand in hand with fiestiness! For my Cool Colors Project, I wanted to give off colors of the sea and have a relaxing, serene calmness to it. I wanted whoever was viewing it to feel like they were underwater like Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" or SpongeBob!
As Clear As Black and White With All Shades of Gray In Between
For my Black and White Project, I started off by creating an illusion of stairs at the top and bottom of the page and then having a ball drop but upside down (almost like a slinky would). I used opposite shapes by having circles inside of squares and squares inside of circles because it would be pleasing to the eye, and I added the triangles to the squares on the bottom of the page to create an illusion of houses lined up next to one another but the roofs have been ripped off. I also wanted to have a contrast of light and dark colors and various shades of black and white, moreso like with complete opposites. I added my name and had it scattered throughout the page along with the arrow to let people who see it know this was my project and it's all about me!
